Submitting a 2011 Chapter Leader Conference (ALC) Proposal

The ASTD Chapter Leader Conference Program Advisory Committee (ALC PAC) anticipates at least 20 Request For Proposal (RFP) submissions will be selected for this year’s conference.  Being selected to facilitate at the annual Chapter Leader Conference is a prestigious honor, a way to gain national exposure among peers, and your opportunity to share your chapter’s best practices while giving back to the workplace learning and performance profession.   

By participating in this webcast, you will gain insight into what the selection committee will be looking for in a quality submission.  We will break down all the components of the RFP submission template, highlighting key areas where you can differentiate your topic and content from the numerous submissions received each year.

Engaging in this virtual workshop will not only prepare you for submitting an RFP for this year’s conference, but will also develop critical skills around crafting creative workshop titles, solid learning objectives, and description of facilitation style and techniques, applicable to any proposal submission request throughout your career as a learning professional.

The ALC PAC, a national advisory committee comprised of chapter leaders, is charged with reviewing session proposals for the ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference (ALC), recommending ones for selection, identifying programming gaps, and recommending topics and speakers to fill those gaps. The ALC PAC solicits conference sponsors, recommends keynote speakers, and serves as the host committee during the conference. ALC PAC members attend the conference and collect feedback from attendees regarding areas of success or improvement.
